Keep Moving Forward with a Smile

Sometimes I forget to take the trash can down to the end of the driveway for pickup day.  It begins to stink when you leave it in the trash can for so long.  We have other things on our minds and forget to take it down the night before it gets taken away to the landfill. That is how we are spiritually as well.  If we do not take our spiritual trash out it begins to stink in God's nostrils and we will not be able to move forward
He wants us to be able to take our trash out on our own because it is our responsibility not His.  He gave us good common sense to detox our bodies mentally and physically.  If we do not replenish ourselves we will begin to stink because we are not taking care of our selves physically.  It is very important to wash away those impurities so that we will be pleasant smelling to our neighbors and friends.
Often I joke around and ask if I stink when someone sits far away from me at church.  However, we will begin to stink in God's nostrils if we do not repent daily like He warns us in the Bible.  It is up to us to ask God to forgive us and wash away our sins.  If we do not ask Him, we will not know to forgive us.  As mentioned above, if we fail to take our trash can down to the end of our drive for the pick-up, they will never know we want them to dump it.  We have to be responsible for our own sins and be able to ask forgiveness
God loves us and wants us to ask Him favors but He also wants our Praise.  If we do not empty our minds and hearts we will not be able to worship Him freely.  God sent His only begotten Son to die for us, which to me, means so much.  It gives me hope every day knowing that Someone loved me that much. He loved us So much that He would give His own flesh and blood so that we could be free.  He left the rest up to us though, we need to remember to take our trash out daily in order to be where we need to be in our daily walks.
It is okay to fail, of course, but we need to be able to pick ourselves up by the boot strings and keep going if we want to see results.  God does not like to see us fail but He said He would always be there for us when we did.  God gave us everything we need to ask forgiveness and will forgive us each time we ask if it is sincere. So, let us pick a time in our busy schedules to sit down and talk with God about our failures so He can help us keeping moving forward with that happy smile.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Thoughtful Thursday

If God Be For Us 31 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies; 34 who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us?[e] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from...
