Meaning of Blog TItle

I have challenged myself to write a blog post every day this month. I.t will be a different task for me, but one that obviously must be done, if I wish to continue writing online.  The title of my blog is "Not Writing For Flowers." I chose that name because I do not serve the Lord for my own glory. I only want to be a help when there is a door for me to open.  It has been said, if one does things in order to receive a blessing in return, then the deed would be for ones own glory.  The saying kind of reminds me of the Scribe and Pharisee parable in the Bible.
It is up to us, as Christians, to inspire other people, not to make ourselves shine.  Helping someone else should be our purpose in life, and I want to keep blog up to date and try to write something inspirational every day, or at least as often as I can write. You see, my health condition is a rare syndrome called, "22q." It has been something I have had to deal with on my own because no one knew how to help me. All the signs were there, but no one actually knew what the condition was.
Instead of being depressed and staying in my own little bubble, I want to try to reach out and be and encouragement to others, not just with 22q, but with any health condition.  It is difficult, but it can be done. Don't ever give in to another person's point of view.  Don't ever let anyone let the opinion keep you from cracking another smile, or sharing another laugh because they said you were not normal.  Truth is, no one is what you would call, "normal." God made everyone special and each one of us has a "special' role that He had planned out before we were even born.  There is someone who needs to watch your life as you progress and grow.  So don't give, let your own light shine for everyone to see.
That is the purpose of my blog, to `encourage' another lady to keep moving on for the Lord.I will be sharing what little talent I have in arts and crafts in this blog. I also like to study foreign language, especially Biblical languages.  I also love geneaology, history, and try to be as fit and healthy as possible. So, I hope this has helped explain what this is all about and I really hope that I will be able to inspire YOU to be hopeful as well.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Fantastic Friday

“To make this as simple as possible, let me say it this way: justification is all about Jesus. Jesus’ work, not our works, saves us. Jesus’ life, not our own life, is our hope. Jesus’ death, not our religious works, is our payment. Jesus alone forgives sin. So, we’re to repent of our sin to Jesus. Jesus alone gives righteousness. So we trust in Jesus for our justification. Our justification is not accomplished in any part by our own work, morality, or religious devotion. Justification is accomplished by Jesus plus nothing, and Jesus plus anything ruins everything.”   Mark Driscoll “Sometimes we’re so focused on our desired blessings that we fail to stop and thank God by remembering the blessings we already have in Christ .” Mark Driscoll    Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1 Prayer-- Lord, help me realize that the World d...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!
