2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n

Romans 14 (KJV) 14 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and w

It's important that we realize the difference between selfishness and being happy. Being angry does not help our situation. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: 7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God s

God had quite a bit of the Scripture written in order to comfort us on our Journeys. This one in particular comes to mind when writing sentiments for my cards. I am really just an amateur so I like to read instructional material. This is one verse that was suggested for comfort. As I read through the leaflet it mentions three things you should not write when sending cards. 1. This sickness is God's will for you. " That's kind of obvious. You should never" tell anyone that their trial was meant" for them. I can understand this. Having certain health issues myself, it could be taken wrongly. 2.Here's why I" think you're sick." I sure do know quite a bit of people who like to give you their two cents on why" you are sick. Maybe something it's youre doing wrong." Maybe it's something you're eating." I can't believe that someone would actually write that " in a card, but... that was number 2 on th

Matthew 13-3-9 3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Pray with us-- Lord, help me to sow on a good ground. Help me to be able to test to see whether it is good and holy or not. I want to be where my light can shine the brightest. Eclesiastes 7: 13-16 Hope you have had a Wonderful Thanksgiving!! 13 Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked? 14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him. 15 All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness. 16 Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself ? There is alot of wisdom in this particular passage. God warns us not to be mighty in our own eyes because this is vanity. in verse 13, it says , " Who can make that straight?" Have you given that much thought in considering something new? A new goal or new plan? Did you ever ask God what He thought? After all, He knows the outcome. I take time to pray every mor

Sometimes it is difficult to wait on God. However, God's timing is absolutely perfect ! He knows when we can handle certain situations. Sometimes it's that we have a rebellious attitude on waiting that God does not answer our prayers. God has a purpose for all of His children. You weren't put here by accident. I hope I can share that message with as many people as possible. Prayer--Thank you for everything that You have given me. Lord, you put me here for a reason. John 1 (KJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. This is one of my favorite Scriptures. There is actually a choir song written about this passage. It was an amazing piece to learn and sing. I still sing it from time to time because it has a catchy melody. It reminds us that God was here from the beginning. He is here NOW and he will eternally be a true living God. I wonder what it was like to have the vision that God gave John that day. It must have been magnificent. We get to read about it later, in the book of John. These first few verses have a special meaning. It reminds us that God is always there for us when we need Him. He just wants to hear our voices. 1.

Titus 3 (KJV) 3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Sometimes I wonder if people even read my blog posts. Then other times I think, what does it matter? This is something God wants me to do so it should not matter. We shouldn't strive to please people. When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered with the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep. And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, "Save us, Lord; we are perishing!" He said to them, "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. The men were amazed, and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him? This plant reminded me of a saying. It goes something" like this.... don't keep watering a dead plant...." I love flowers and I love plants. In this analogy though, it's referring to relationships. Is it something that can keep you moving forward or does it keep one foot in the grave? I thought that was a good motivational point. In order to form our own Identity" in Christ, we need to quit focusing on people who will never show up in our lives again.   And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Prayer-- Lord, according to your word, in the last times, there will be wars and rumors of wars. People will hate each other and try to deceive each other. There will be famines and earthquakes, pestilences, and kingdoms against kingdoms. Help me stay focused on your Kingdom and your Return. In Jesus' Sweet Name, Amen.

14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:14-17 I love this Scripture. It talks about how a shepherd watches over his sheep. It tells how a good" shepherd will not leave any of the sheep behind, he will always wait, even for the least one because he is part of the flock as well. The Good Shepherd this Scripture is referring to though, is Jesus. Its meaning is simple. He will not leave any one of us out in the cold, no matter how gre

Moral Benefits of Wisdom 1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Yesterday we talked about asking God to direct our paths. I also kinda like chapter two of Proverbs as well. It defines why we should seek Godly wisdom first. From verse one it clearly states that If" we accept His words graciously we will understand the fear of the Lord. You can not jump ahead in the game. Especially if you are waiting to hear on God's voice. We are living in such a time that we need to be seeking God's voice. So many people are sick and need to see God's light. Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled all around so we need to shine

Psalm 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. God reminds us in the very first chapter of Psalms to be careful of who are friends are. It is good to be rooted and grounded in your faith and what soever' you do will prosper. I have this chapter memorized. It's a good thing to memorize Scripture if you

Psalm 42[a][b] For the director of music. A maskil[c] of the Sons of Korah. 1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” 4 These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One[d] with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. I love this Psalms. It is one of my favorites. It's one of those that you can go to when you feel like there's no one else there to listen to your own problems. It helps to talk about out, but sometimes people just don't want to or have time to listen. Job says in verse one, " as the deer pants for the streams of water," . I don't know if you have ever seen an animal pant when they are out of breath, but

Motivational Monday

There are some days I wonder why God formed me like He did. I am almost sure there are others that feel the same way. Why He chose the demographics that He did. Sometimes I feel like there's not a friend around to listen or care. It's then I'm reminded, I could have been put in a worse place, where there is no clean water, no clean meat or veggies. People complain about not having enough of the latest technology, not having the latest fashion. It's wonderful to have the latest Vera Bradley handbag or the most up to date phone, but let's remember one thing, there are people starving because they do not have enough food. There are little kids walking around without shoes and have scars on their feet because they had to walk to school barefooted. True, some of these are in third world countries, but we could be in just as bad as shape. Let's not judge each other by our appearances. It's so immature to treat someone indifferently just beca

It's hard to realize sometimes that wisdom is better than fine gold. Wisdom is better than rubies. Nothing should be compared to the beauty wisdom has to behold. Even though getting a college education is wonderful, that's not the kind of wisdom we're talking about here. God's wisdom will keep you from evil. Wonderful Wednesday

It's been a while since I posted any pictures or media files so, I thought I share something neat I really never feel any older just that more grateful to be alive. On saying that, I try to be as frugal as possible, and purchase things we actually use as that's what I was taught as a kid. My husband and I have been cooking more at home lately so I have been looking for neat little gadgets to have around in the kitchen. I like to make things as simple as possible and I also like to be able to clean the gadgets as well as put the away easily. This grilling mat is a neat way to save space in your kitchen. It is a wonderful thing to have and I don't know how I lived without it. We like to bake and also use the grill. This is washable and easy to put away when you don't have much space. It is flexible and you can roll it up or store it flat. Either way, this is a great item to have! This is another item that I wish my husband and I had had when we first got

The Road Not Taken   Robert Frost (1874–1963)          TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;         Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,           And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.         I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

To me, meditation means clearing your mind of stressful things like work, things that annoy you, and things that you just can't stand. I found some meditation aps I think you might enjoy.... "http://www.headspace.com/"> http://www.sattva.life/apps"> "http://www.calm.com/"> I have this one on my phone and love it ! I will review these on my youtube channel along with this blog. First and foremost thought, living a stress free life is up to us. No one else can make us happy. No one else can get rid of things that annoy us. God can give us ideas and steer us in the right directions, but only we can live stress free. In saying that hope everyone has a wonderful, stress free, weekend. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
