New Years Resolution

I have been trying so hard this year to keep a journal of everything I do.  It is very easy to get off track and let the Devil convince us to focus on negative thoughts.  I want to keep my blog update on a daily basis but so far it has only been a weekly thing.  I want to be steady with my blog entries and keep my readers interested in what I have to say.  I want to focus on healthy eating, spiritually and physically.  I want to focus on exercising more and  also on meditating to keep our minds clear of any selfish thought that might slip through unexpectedly.  I think those are very reasonable goals.  I want to focus on being financially fit as well because the Bible says to do so.    God wants to be there for us, but He also expects us to take care of ourselves first and foremost.  Whatever we can not do, He said He would meet us in the middle.  I want to be an encouragement to others that might need a little stepping stone along the way.  I do not stay upbeat all the time, no one d

Review on The Performance Planner

I found one of these planners and I really like it! It was created by Zig Ziglar I like it because it is personalized.  My signature is going on those blanks It has 8 different action steps which are really quite helpful. It also has a goal procedure chart as shown above. In the picture below, you can see it has a personal performance record as well.  This planner also has a monthly record template in the back as well. I was really excited to find this particular planner. I think it is a great template to help keep up with daily tasks.

Monday Motivation

What motivates me is when I get free fast food from survey apps like "survey mini," and I poll.    Not on my diet plan, but occasionally it is mighty tasty.

I am hooked on these little diffusers!

I received this little diffuser in exchange for my honest, unbiased review! I just could not wait till Friday to show it off!  I got a promotional code to review it so I want to review on here as well. I would gladly paid full price for it because they do produce a calming effect.  Calm is definitely what I need in life. The reason that I like these particular diffusers is that tt has the ability to use different essential oils.  These diffusers are priced fairly well and I do recommend them to anyone who wants a better nights sleep.

Swollen eyes make it hard to see

I want to apologize for not writing lately. My eyes have been swollen and watering. They have been hurting for the past week.  I will get back to writing on a daily basis next week.  I did, however, get to do something fun! I got to go to an Avon anew clinic. I got to meet some amazing people!

This package is what motivated me today!

Tuesday Memory Tricks

Always taking my Garmin with me, makes it easier to find roads and shortcuts.  Even though I can read road signs quite well, it makes all the anxiety from driving itself go away. If you have problems with directions and getting to a new place, investing in a Garmin or some kind of GPS tracking device might be a good option for you as well.  Remember Christmas is not so far away! <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.amazon.com/b/?ref_=assoc_tag_ph_1444426849588&_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=pf4&node=12633153011&tag=notwritingfor-20&linkId=EQE7XSHWDGSXLAHV">Shop Amazon - Fashion Tech</a><img src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=notwritingfor-20&l=pf4&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

What motivated me today?

Getting a free 20oz dr. Pepper from survey mini ap.... http://www.surveymini.com/ Getting a free grilled chicken sandwich for downloading the McDonald's ap.... Also getting a free pretzel for downloading the Auntie Anne's ap on my iphone6s.    It's been a fun day today!

Review Time!

I love getting products like these in exchange for an honest review!!! I just got a new iphone6s and these cords work perfectly.  As you see, I received three lightning cables in the mail to charge my iPhone 6s. I am going to leave one in my car and one near my wall charger. I am going to give the other cable to my mom as she has an iPhone 6 Plus.  These cables are great and worth the money because there are not just one but three cords included in the package. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U0Q0IP6

New Organizational Stuff from Walmart and Dollar General-- wont' let me post pictures. will try again later. :/ Ok. Now I can upload these pictures.

Motivational Monday

There were a few things that were motivational to me today.  First, finding out that my dog really does love me.  He has been barking exvessively for the past two weeks.  He was trying to tell me that there was a sick dog in the neighborhood and that I should be ware.  Gotta love your animals, right?     What else was motivational?  Getting a little eight week old hyper active kitty to actually sit on my lap for an hour and a half.  I loved today!  I was in such  a good mood and nothing got in my way.  They say animals know when their masters do not feel well.  Today is a testimony to that thought.  I Taught My Cat To Clean My Room I taught my cat to clean my room, to use a bucket, brush and broom, to dust my clock and picture frames, and pick up all my toys and games. He puts my pants and shirts away, and makes my bed, and I would say it seems to me it's only fair he puts away my underwear. In fact, I think he's got it made. I'm not as happy with o

Just about over my sinus infection--yay!

I hate worse than anything to have the sniffles.  It makes you feel so yucky.  However, it is fall and that is when I tend to get a sinus infection.  I did not get to write yesterday and I apologize for that, but I am back and running and almost up to par.  I have been doing a lot lately and it is really no surprise that I did get sick.  In the meantime, I lost my lovely ipad mini.  Someone either has stolen it or it is in a place where no one can find it.  I would hate to think someone would steal anything like that.  It was only a 16GB so I hope they do not want to do much with it.  That password is going to be hard to figure out as well.     I wish that I had turned on my "Find my IPhone" app on it but I never got to that point yet.  It got me to thinking though, we as Christians, have a similar app built in us.   When we get lost, we have a "Find My IPhone" app that God turned on when we got salvation.  If we keep connected to Him, we will always be able to f

Tuesday Memory Tricks

Sorry for not posting yesterday. I was sick all weekend. I am back to normal and feel like writing again! I have a hard time finding keys or remembering where I parked.  I figured out if I just make a point to look back and check to see exactly where I parked, it makes it easier for me to remember.  I also try to park beside a light pole or buggy cart.  This technique also helps me remember, especially if there is another vehicle that is just exactly like mine and it is possible. lol! For finding my keys, I usually try to put them in the same place and make that place a consistent place to put them. It is so easy to get distracted and remembering where you put things is difficult sometimes.  If you are like me, you would loose your head if it was not attached.  I am a fairly organized person but remembering something small like your keys is a doozy. I also have a difficult time with locking myself out of my car. Hey. I am sure that I am not the only one that has had to call a tow tr

free items--yipee :)

It is a  self-tanning towel. When possible, I'll share with you where to get some awesome deals like this! #apennysaved#apennyearned

Tuesday Memory Tricks

  1.  Try to always keep things in the same place.   2.  Label baskets and keep items organized.   3.  Get some kind of tracking device for your keys.   4.  Keep a dry erase board of notes for that day to track yourself.   5.  Keep lists and stick to them.   6.   Make post-it notes in you notebook or journal.   7.   Tell someone where you are going so you can retrace your steps later.     8.    Record your notes on your cellphone so you will always have them with you. (cellphones never stay home).   9.    Keep a post-it note in your vehicle to remind you where you are suppose to go that day.   10.   Always keep you gps turned on so if you get disoriented or need to regroup, you will have an idea of where you are on the map.        These might seem silly, but they help me keep myself on track each day. My days are much smoother and flow much nicer.  I love staying organized and love to be tidey and clean.  As a 22qgirl, being organized has made so much more of a dif

Motivational Monday--not so motivated

I have not been very motivational today.  However, I want to leave you a quote coined by Confucius to close out the day.    It is as following, “ Wherever you go, go with all your heart .” – Confucius   It does not matter what others say about your journey.   As long  God is the leader of the plan everything will be there for you on time, every time.  As a Christ follower, " I believe that God will supply our needs if we listen to Him.  Having the confirmation that God even feeds the little sparrow, I know He will take care of His children. Hope you have a wonderful week.

Facebook Ads

Trying to figure out how to do Facebook Ads.  I watched a couple of youtube videos and am impressed.  I shall be looking further into this new adventure. Well, I guess it is a new adventure to me.  I have not been associated with affiliate marketing for very long and am overwhelmed with all the lovely information that I have been gathering.  I hope that I can do well with it and be of help to someone else as well.  I will let you know more about it a little along.  In the meantime, I have a 7 month old kitten and a 8 week old kitten to calm down for their bedtime.  I will show you pictures of those later.  They both were given to me and I love them both.  They are so cute.  Alrighty.  I do not have much to write tonight cause I got to figure out more about the Facebook ads and a new company I found out about called IZEA.  I also got some yardsales to attend tomorrow as well.  I hope I find some good books to review.  #happyReading!

Tuesday Memory Tricks

One of the most common tricks that people use, I think, are graphs.  Graphs help one categorize  thoughts in a way that you can remember them.  When I think of graphs, I mean actually writing down words to help memorize better.  Sometimes I like to turn a piece of paper sideways and make three columns.  I then will try to summarize the basic subject of what I am trying to memorize. l It is more difficult to study like this but the end results come out better for me.      Each person has their own way of memorizing and learning.  These are just a few that have helped me along the way.  Another technique is to read the words out loud so that your brain can be more focused on one subject than many at a time.  I get distracted more easily than some so I have tried many things to help manage my study habits.  Even though it is easy to become disheartened  I am not ashamed in the least.       If anything, having 22q has made me much stronger than I would have without the syndrome. The Power of ONE

The Power of One One song can spark a moment One flower can wake the dream. One tree can start a forest. One bird can herald spring. One smile begins a friendship, One handclasp lifts a soul, One star can guide a ship at sea, One word can frame the goal. One vote can change nation, One sunbeam lights a room. One candle wipes out darkness, One laugh will conquer gloom. One step must start each journey, One word must start each prayer. One hope will raise our spirits, One touch can show you care. One voice can speak with wisdom, One life can make a difference, You see, IT'S UP TO YOU!  Author Unknown I do not know who wrote this poem, but it is powerful! I love this poem because it compares how much the first start is important. I think it is very emotional and inspirational.   I love how the author starts out describing Mother Nature and the moves along to say that it is up to us to speak one word.  See God spoke the world into existence with one

for Thursday

s   I have been reviewing products for a while now.  I usually try to pick items that I actually want to use on a day to day basis.  Excitingly, this is one of the recent items I earned in exchange for an honest", unbiased", opinion.  My opinion is that it is "awesome!"     I will use this bag every time I go to the gym to workout.  Of course, my definition of "working out," is not the same as everyone else's definition yet, but I am stepping  higher each time.  Having fancy gym attire is not required, but definitely very, very helpful.    I am sure that people will eventually get tired of hearing about this bag, I am proud to own it.  I would have paid the full amount for this bag.  It has many, many pockets and a place for your water bottle as well.  It not only can be used as a gym bag, but as a travel bag also.  I love the length of the shoulder strap.  The best part about the shoulder strap is the padding they added for extra support.    Thi

on writing short stories

.... I am going to try to start posting "short stories" on Wednesdays. It might not be every Wednesday but posting short stories to your blog is a good way to exercise ones writing skills.  Today I went to a used book store and picked up a copy of " Introducing The Short Story."  It is written by Henry I. Christ and Jerome Shostak.  It is a very good introduction to writing short stories.  I have already gained experience on my own and through workshops or classes.      I am excited about this new journey and want to do anything I can to cultivate my abilities.  This book will be a "good read," and can not wait to learn more writing skills.  I want to attend more workshops and conferences as well, but in the mean time, on my own, I like to read books like this one.  On page two the book starts with explaining the elements of writing a plot and then follows with an example.      Later on in the book there is a section that explains how to actually" w

organizational tip for the day

o    This is a travel case.  It is big enough to put my journaling Bible on one side and my notebook and ipad in the other side.  These items can now safely travel with me each day. I am going use them every day from now till forever.  Time Management is an every day issue for me.  However, I keep learning how to incorporate new tricks each time I make a mistake.  Keeping a planner makes things much easier and smoother for your day.    #22q#beblessed
Evening   Written By Victoria Mary Sackville-West       When little lights in little ports come out,     Quivering down through water with the stars,     And all the fishing fleet of slender spars     Range at their moorings, veer with tide about;     When race of wind is stilled and sails are furled,     And underneath our single riding-light     The curve of black-ribbed deck gleams palely white,     And slumbrous waters pool a slumbrous world;      Then, and then only, have I thought how sweet     Old age might sink upon a windy youth,     Quiet beneath the riding-light of truth,     Weathered through storms, and gracious in retreat. This is a lovely description of growing older.
At first I thought these coloring books were just coloring books until I ordered one..The above picture is one that I colored and will post more pictures later.  I think these coloring books for adults are awesome! Poem-Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit- Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a fellow turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow - You may succeed with another blow. Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man; Often the struggler has given up Whe he might have captured the victor's cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out - The silver tint in the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It might be near when it seems afar; So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit - It&

Thursday--Clean Up Day--

Thursday will be my "Clean Up Day"   ....course, every day should be a clean up day.  There is not one person who can say they never made a mistake.  There is not one person that has done something that they could wipe away. God understands that we are going to need forgiveness once in a while.  I do not mean to keep reiterating on that subject but God is one of love and forgiveness and that is sometimes forgotten.  We are all human and He realized that from the very moment He created the world.         However, i t is easy to keep the past in front of us and to always remember the bad times in our lives.  God did not intend for us to worry all the time.  He wants us to be happy and He wants us to be successful.  Sometimes that theory gets reversed.  People, and I am included in that phrase, want to blame God for their problems and horrible accidents but that is not the way it was meant to be.          There is always room for improvement and we all could use a little.  I

Tuesdays are Memory Game Ideas

Tuesdays are going to tentatively be my day to post about different memory games that are available.  It might be that I have an idea as well.  One idea that seems to help me memorize is to think of a certain melody to go with the words that need memorization.  I have found that in using a catchy melody that I can memorize things better.  It is necessary to memorize lots of things as a student or as an individual because we will not always have a pen and some paper.    There are different techniques that people like to use but "catchy melodies," are the best way for me to memorize something that needs to stick in my brain.  I like to sing so that is my reason for this technique.  Different people have problems with different things but this is my problem and it is very aggravating sometimes.  I can do it, but it takes a walk around a time or two to get there.  I have realized this and think of different things to master memory.  I have not mastered memory, but then again,

Psalm 23 is a Picture of Peace

Psalm 23   for Monday's poetry collection   1.  The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.   2.He maketh me lie down in green pastures for His name's sake.  He leadeth me beside still waters.  3. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.   4.  Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death I will fear no evil; for thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff the comfort me.    5.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presences of mine enemies; thou anoinest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.    6.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.   The sections highlighted help me get through the not so good times. This Scripture always paints a picture of peace. It reminds me that it will be worth it all one day, helps a person have hope.     However, God is not the author of confusion, He is our helper so we must keep our focus o

" The Road Not Taken"

Every Monday I will try to be posting a motivational poem.  It will either be one that I have written or one that really inspires me. The first one will be by Robert Frost, one of my favorite authors.     It tells about life and the roads that people take.  It is one of my favorite because of the way that Frost compares a long weary road to life.  It tells how life is up to us and the goals we set for ourselves should be attainable.  "The Road Not Taken," is told by the weary traveler in the poem and that is my favorite part in the poem itself.  He tells of how his dreams were unreachable because he chose to take the road less traveled.  Well, it really does not say that in the poem, but it leads you to believe that the traveler felt lonesome and friendless because he made the wrong choice at first and the decided to take the right path even though it was more difficult.  This poem is has always been one of my favorites and always will be. Robert Frost The R

Friday--Free Your Mind

It is finally Friday again.  The Weekend is the time that people tend to free their minds of clutter.  It is a time for  family and relaxation.  Everyone needs to clear their minds every their minds  once in a while.  Everyone needs their eight hours of sleep, a time just for themselves.  A time to escape from their day to day routines.  The Bible says in Genesis that even God rested on the seventh day.  It is true that  our bodies need rest and a time by ourselves. We often times find things to worry about if we do not take a " time out" one in a while.      God knew that before we existed and made provisions so we need to take advantage of it. However, that does not mean to push our oxens in the ditch. Sometimes we make excuses not to be a servant.  Granted it is difficult at times, but then again, anything we do takes some effort on our part.  God knew that as well. He knew that there would be things that we could not accomplish on our own and that is why He creat

Stuck in a Rut

Did you ever feel like you were stuck? It is very, very, easy to get stuck sometimes.  It is what ya do to get out of that rut.  That is what matters.  My rut lately is reading my Bible.  I get bored easily. However, I haven been doing some journaling lately and that has helped.  I do not know how you feel about drawing in your Bible, but it has helped me stay focused on reading the material inside.  It gives my mind an illustration of the story that was meant to be told.    I used to not be fond of even writing in the margins of my Bible, but in the Facebook journaling groups some ladies have drawn remarkable illustrations in their Bibles.  They have inspired me to do the same in my Bible and it has helped me.  I love my Bible and do not ever want to just put it down and stop reading it.  It took me a while to even understand the Bible so I know how difficult it is to just sit down and read.  I have also tried those audio Bibles and they have helped as well.  However, there is someth

God Has a Plan for All His Children

Why is it so easy for us to get off track in our daily walks with the Lord? That question is not so easily answered.  There are so many things that look like they are from God.  Sometimes we think they are from God but it is really our own way of thinking. We all have our own demons and can let them distract us in so many ways. Those ways can be our jobs, hobbies, or just anything that the Devil can use as a tool to keep us from traveling our journeys. There are different things that each person is called to do in life.  There are things that we, as individuals want to do.  Lastly, there are things that are way off track.  We need to keep track of what we do every day, whether it be writing with a pen or paper, computer, or simply just going over it our minds.      There are several ways that we can tell when we are on the right track with God.  The best way to tell is when things simply just fall in their place.  I always like to pray and ask God for guidance.  I ask Him to keep

Random Post About Earning A Little Extra Cash!

I like to find some little ways online to make extra cash.  I do not recommend using this as a dominant source of income but it will be an extra coffee! Hey! Everyone has a hobby they like to support. I like to crochet and play music.  However, those hobbies take money to continue doing them.  I like to do micro tasks online.  One way to do that is through a search engine called " qmee"    You make money by clicking on certain ads that come up through qmee.  I think it is a neat little website and it is fun to get an extra cup of coffee every once in a while.  You know those little cups of coffee add up and become expensive! I am excited to find little gems like this one.     I do not care to sell things like avon, actually, I do sell avon! I also just started making my own soaps and lotions.  However, sometimes it is hard to sell these items if you live in a small area.  I like living in a small area, but that means there is probably already selling that item. If you h

One Way To Cultivate My Writing Skills Is By Writing Product Reviews!

There is most definitely always another pot to be washed.  I am always doing something productive and here lately one of the things I have been doing is reviews for people.  I love to write and this is an awesome way to use my talent and help sellers get good reviews for their product. There is an awesome group that I have found on facebook. I have already gotten several items from them to review and will continue to review for them as long as possible.    We as humans like to have nice things and there is nothing wrong with that in any way.  When you do not have a lot of extra money to spend, you find ways to make ends meet.  Writing reviews has really helped me obtain quite a few items that I would not have gotten other wise.  Some of the things I have received, include a hand held milk frother, a black head remover kit, dead sea mud mask, and a silicone baking mat.  These are some of my favorite things that I have received.  I have used my baking mat several times since it arrived

Always Another Pot To Be Washed

It has been so long since I have posted anything on blogger.  I have not found any good challenges and have been really busy with some other new chores.  Writing is something I love doing and do not want to write anything unless I know that it is  something that might be worth reading.  I love to write and do not want to make it something I feel like I have to do, only something as a hobby.  I have always enjoyed writing and will always keep posting.  There is one thing that I found that keeps sticking in my head and it is the post that is pasted above.  It says the following words, "That kill me moment when you think you're done with the dishes and you turn around and see those pots on the stove."      Well, it is kind of like that spiritually as well. God's work is never done.  There is always something that we can be doing for Him.  It may not be a big, in the spotlight, kinda job, but there is always some kind of little task that might be a blessing to some
