Fantastic Friday

“To make this as simple as possible, let me say it this way: justification is all about Jesus. Jesus’ work, not our works, saves us. Jesus’ life, not our own life, is our hope. Jesus’ death, not our religious works, is our payment. Jesus alone forgives sin. So, we’re to repent of our sin to Jesus. Jesus alone gives righteousness. So we trust in Jesus for our justification. Our justification is not accomplished in any part by our own work, morality, or religious devotion. Justification is accomplished by Jesus plus nothing, and Jesus plus anything ruins everything.”   Mark Driscoll

“Sometimes we’re so focused on our desired blessings that we fail to stop and thank God by remembering the blessings we already have in Christ.” Mark Driscoll

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1

Prayer-- Lord, help me realize that the World did not accept You and you were perfect in every way.  Why should I accept any less?   In Jesus Name, Amen

Food For Thought

A journaling topic that Kim Erickson suggests is as following, " Write some things that happened this week that got in the way of your having a joyful day."   Well,  honestly, I could sit down forever and talk about this topic.  It's these kind of affirmations that have really gotten me through the day.  I wish I had known about them when I was younger.  Middle School and High school might have been a little easier.  However, I never really had any bullies attack me then.  At that time, the only real bully was my inner-self.  I stayed positive and always tried to keep my mind on God and things that do not concern this world.  Happy places, quiet places, and dreaming about far off worlds usually kept my mind busy.   That is how it is today as well, but sometimes, having a reminder every now and then doesn't hurt.   Not everyone is going to be your friend, and not every one is going to send positive vibes.  Sometimes you have to do it yourself, you have to wake up thi

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!

Wonderful Wednesday

God had quite a bit of the Scripture written in order to comfort us on our Journeys. This one in particular comes to mind when writing sentiments for my cards. I am really just an amateur so I like to read instructional material. This is one verse that was suggested for comfort. As I read through the leaflet it mentions three things you should not write when sending cards. 1. This sickness is God's will for you. " That's kind of obvious. You should never" tell anyone that their trial was meant" for them. I can understand this. Having certain health issues myself, it could be taken wrongly. 2.Here's why I" think you're sick." I sure do know quite a bit of people who like to give you their two cents on why" you are sick. Maybe something it's youre doing wrong." Maybe it's something you're eating." I can't believe that someone would actually write that " in a card, but... that was number 2 on th
