Psalm46 1-5
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
A journaling topic that Kim Erickson suggests is as following, " Write some things that happened this week that got in the way of your having a joyful day." Well, honestly, I could sit down forever and talk about this topic. It's these kind of affirmations that have really gotten me through the day. I wish I had known about them when I was younger. Middle School and High school might have been a little easier. However, I never really had any bullies attack me then. At that time, the only real bully was my inner-self. I stayed positive and always tried to keep my mind on God and things that do not concern this world. Happy places, quiet places, and dreaming about far off worlds usually kept my mind busy.
