Wonderful Wednesday

Wednesdays have to be my most favorite day of the week.  Wednesdays allow my mind to step back and look what I have accomplished and what still needs to be finished.  Wednesdays are a resting point for me.  It allows me to catch my breath.  In the mornings,  I like to wake up a little earlier in order to just sit there and find my own breath.  In doing so,  I can better concentrate on the other chores at hand.  Wednesday is also our trash" day and as I  took our trash down to the road, it reminded me I need to just forget the negative and really concentrate on the things I can do.  I need to put all my gifts in one place and that way I will have more strength to praise God.
As most of you know by now, we have two rather huge cats that live with us.  Oftentimes, they will bring us gifts" Luckily, these gifts are only toys and not dead animals, but this also reminded me that we, as Christians should bring God gifts. I can Imagine that  It makes Him smile when He looks down on us. Often my husband and I facetiously  joke, well, "God must laugh' when He looks down at us.  In reality,  it must make Him proud when He sees His Creation praising Him.  I know how I feel when my kitties bring me " gifts."  and I am just their caretaker.  In all, though, even if our biggest effort, is the biggest' flop" you ever saw,  God will most certainly be honored.  So take time, to think about what you are doing.  Take time to catch your breath so you will have the strength to praise God.

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”  1 Thesslonians 5:16-18

Prayer-- Lord, help me make proper use my gifts to the best of my ability.  Help me not to be discouraged and compare myself to others.  You are the reason I sing, You are the reason, I can do anything at all.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Fantastic Friday

“To make this as simple as possible, let me say it this way: justification is all about Jesus. Jesus’ work, not our works, saves us. Jesus’ life, not our own life, is our hope. Jesus’ death, not our religious works, is our payment. Jesus alone forgives sin. So, we’re to repent of our sin to Jesus. Jesus alone gives righteousness. So we trust in Jesus for our justification. Our justification is not accomplished in any part by our own work, morality, or religious devotion. Justification is accomplished by Jesus plus nothing, and Jesus plus anything ruins everything.”   Mark Driscoll “Sometimes we’re so focused on our desired blessings that we fail to stop and thank God by remembering the blessings we already have in Christ .” Mark Driscoll    Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1 Prayer-- Lord, help me realize that the World d...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!
