Thoughtful Thursday

Is it just me or does Thursday always seem to be one of those days that creep up on you unaware?  I usually get most of my chores done by Thursday but then again I work on them a little each day so I won't have so much to do on the weekends.  You might not believe me but it really helps to have a certain cleaning schedule.  I know that is preached a lot , but it has helped me tremendously.  This morning, as I fried some steak for lunch, I flipped through a SunBasket recipe book. I love that subscription!

I think that's one of the best thing we have ever ordered.  They send you the right amount of everything you need.  As I glanced through the book, I thought about how God's Word is indeed a recipe book for our daily lives.  How can anyone go without picking up the Bible?  After watching the beautiful Eclipse, how can anyone be atheist?  I even heard some of them say, they wished they did believe in God.  I thought, well, why don't you?

As I did all this, my cat was laying there so beautifully watching me. lol! That was a reminder of how others watch us as we live our Christians lives.  We ought to be an example to others.  We never know who is watching us.  We never know who we might be a light to, or who we might hinder. Hopefully and prayerfully, I would never hinder anyone.  It's just amazing to me how God is in everything we do.   I hope this has encouraged you to be a little more observant today, in your walk with God. It's hard sometimes, but we must keep fighting every day.  Someone is watching.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
                                                              1 Thessalonians 5:11

Prayer---  Lord, help me to use your Word for a roadmap on a daily basis.  That way I understand more about your plan.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Fantastic Friday

“To make this as simple as possible, let me say it this way: justification is all about Jesus. Jesus’ work, not our works, saves us. Jesus’ life, not our own life, is our hope. Jesus’ death, not our religious works, is our payment. Jesus alone forgives sin. So, we’re to repent of our sin to Jesus. Jesus alone gives righteousness. So we trust in Jesus for our justification. Our justification is not accomplished in any part by our own work, morality, or religious devotion. Justification is accomplished by Jesus plus nothing, and Jesus plus anything ruins everything.”   Mark Driscoll “Sometimes we’re so focused on our desired blessings that we fail to stop and thank God by remembering the blessings we already have in Christ .” Mark Driscoll    Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1 Prayer-- Lord, help me realize that the World d...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!
