Motivational Monday

Thinking about God and listening to God are two separate ideas.   Thinking about God is great~but do we actually listen to Him when we ask Him questions?  Do we just think about how He could answer us, or do we really get down and pray? Thing of it is everyone has their own plans, but God also has His as well.  We need to be willing to listen to Him and His clear direction.  God may want us to do certain things, but we need to be willing to wait on His answer.  Sometimes we just jump to conclusions or our own way of handling things and completely miss what He has in store for us.
I have to say, I have been guilty of this very thing.  I think everyone might have been guilty of not waiting on God's timing.  God's timing is very important.  We need to be willing to allow God to help us in our situations. Listening to clear direction sometimes will mean whether we sink or swim.  God knows what we can handle and what we can't, after all, He is the one who created us.  He spoke our very existence into the world.  We need to be willing to open His Word and ask for guidance.
I can't stress that enough. God wants the best for us, but we have to be willing to allow His" Best" for us and sometimes that is hard.  We see other people succeeding in life and reaching their goals and dreams.  We wish that would happen to us or we wish we had their financial blessings.  God has a special purpose for each of us.  We just need to be willing to ask, but more than that willing to receive what His blessings really are.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.   Psalm 27:14

Prayer--  Lord, I know you do have a plan for my life.
Help me be willing to wait on Your timing and clear direction.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Fantastic Friday

“To make this as simple as possible, let me say it this way: justification is all about Jesus. Jesus’ work, not our works, saves us. Jesus’ life, not our own life, is our hope. Jesus’ death, not our religious works, is our payment. Jesus alone forgives sin. So, we’re to repent of our sin to Jesus. Jesus alone gives righteousness. So we trust in Jesus for our justification. Our justification is not accomplished in any part by our own work, morality, or religious devotion. Justification is accomplished by Jesus plus nothing, and Jesus plus anything ruins everything.”   Mark Driscoll “Sometimes we’re so focused on our desired blessings that we fail to stop and thank God by remembering the blessings we already have in Christ .” Mark Driscoll    Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1 Prayer-- Lord, help me realize that the World d...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!
