Terrific Tuesday

Cat's Menu

  I eat what I wish--
It's a matter of taste.
Whether liver or fish,
I eat what  I wish.
Putting scraps in my dish
Is a terrible waste.
I eat what I wish
It's a matter of taste.

We need to be more decisive. Well, I need to be more focused on my goals.  I often have a plan or something to guide me along the way, but like the cat in Mr. Shaw's poem, I like to eat what I want.  It does not matter if it is good for me or not, I like food.  I will even happily eat left overs.  Thankfully my husband will eat left-overs as well.   I mean  I don't just throw them in the fridge, I think they outta look a bit nice.  I mean would you eat left-overs if they were just thrown in the same bowl?  I have heard some wives complain  ,' OH,' he won't eat left-0vers...I have to cook every night.  Well maybe, it's the way you prepare it.

That's the way with God's word. God's word often reminds me of a big feast.  There is so much to dine on that you can never go hungry oR thirsty.  I'm not sure why people do not want to read their Bible's.  Unless,  It is because of the Shakespearean type then, in which I could understand that if it was.  That's the reason there are different versions.  I tend to stick to my good ole King James Version, but there are some easier to read.  Pray about it and ask God for guidance.  Don't just rely on others to tell you what's in  God's Word.

Don't be like the kitty-cat.....just eat anything.  Don't have to much pride that you can't sit down and get a Dictionary, maybe a Thesaurus and see what the big, long, words mean.  Don't be afraid to get a journal or notebook at the Dollar Tree and jot down notes that you like about a certain verse.
As I mentioned, I used the SOAP Bible Study Method, I am going to have a YouTube video explaining this method soon.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Prayer--Lord help me to be more decisive in my daily walk.  I need your guiding Hand to lead me in the paths of righteousness for I know pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!

Fantastic Friday

“To make this as simple as possible, let me say it this way: justification is all about Jesus. Jesus’ work, not our works, saves us. Jesus’ life, not our own life, is our hope. Jesus’ death, not our religious works, is our payment. Jesus alone forgives sin. So, we’re to repent of our sin to Jesus. Jesus alone gives righteousness. So we trust in Jesus for our justification. Our justification is not accomplished in any part by our own work, morality, or religious devotion. Justification is accomplished by Jesus plus nothing, and Jesus plus anything ruins everything.”   Mark Driscoll “Sometimes we’re so focused on our desired blessings that we fail to stop and thank God by remembering the blessings we already have in Christ .” Mark Driscoll    Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:1 Prayer-- Lord, help me realize that the World d...
