Terrific Tuesday

The Priority Principal

Priority according to dictionary.com  means the right to take precedence in obtaining certain supplies, services, facilities, etc., especially during a shortage.

In life, we all must set priorities.  Not only must we set priorities, we must decide which priorities" will help us succeed.  Making lists help me tackle tasks but they also help me visualize my priorities.

“A morning-glory at my window satisfies me more than the metaphysics of books.”
Walt Whitman

Establish a base point and determine what your strengths and weaknesses are.  Don't compare to others,  God gave us each a special" light to shine....we need to shine it.

Once picking the top priorites,  keep your focus on those priorites and the others will fall in place.

Age doesn't matter here, but, according to Nature, we each get older every day, so learning to set priorites when we are young will make a difference on how we achieve our goals,  Don't limit yourself, however,  focus on your strengths and don't worry about what others say.  It's not the life and it's not their business.  As long as you are meeting your own goals, that's what matters most.

“The life you have left is a gift. Cherish it. Enjoy it now, to the fullest. Do what matters, now.”
Leo Babauta

“But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”
                                                                   Psalm 33:11

Prayer-- "  Lord, please help me determine my strengths and weaknesses.  Help me set my plans according to Your will and help me remember that Your plans stand firm forever." In Jesus Name, Amen.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!

Terrific Thursday

Titus 3 (KJV) 3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Sometimes I wonder if people even read my blog posts. Then other times I think, what does it matter? This is something God wants me to do so it should not matter. We shouldn't strive to please people. My husband and I went out to eat yesterday and I heard the song that goes something like this," I learned my lesson well. You can't please ever...
