How to have Quiet Time with God

1.  First, you must pray and ask God to send you a quiet time.  Let Him tell you what the best time of the day is.

2.  Then, you must arrange the rest of your day around the quiet time that is meant for Bible Study.
     (God wants your full attention.)

3.  Focus on studying the Bible.  Turn off the T.V., turn off the computer, and put AWAY the cellphones.  Remember again,  God wants your full attention.

4.   Keep a notebook or journal to write any thoughts or prayer lists you might have.   I will film a video later on how to keep a prayer" journal.  I know you know this,  but it  just helps to be inspired.

5.   Pray about what Scriptures to study and take any notes that you might want to remember later.
     ( I forget easily.)

Remember, each day is a gift.  Like Crocheting a blanket or scarf, each stitch is needed.  I  love to crochet it keeps my mind off things that otherwise I would ponder all day long.  I think it is good to have an activity that you can do by yourself.  Quiet time is essential especially when you try to focus on our Identity" in Christ.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Try to keep a good, constant routine. 9.  Write or draw in my journal. 10.  Reward myself for accomplishments.  After all, you deserve it. Hope you have a wonderful week !!

Terrific Thursday

Titus 3 (KJV) 3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Sometimes I wonder if people even read my blog posts. Then other times I think, what does it matter? This is something God wants me to do so it should not matter. We shouldn't strive to please people. My husband and I went out to eat yesterday and I heard the song that goes something like this," I learned my lesson well. You can't please ever...
