Motivational Monday

This plant reminded me of a saying. It goes something" like this.... don't keep watering a dead plant...." I love flowers and I love plants. In this analogy though, it's referring to relationships. Watering old friendships or keep thinking what they're doing or where they are. Is it relevant to the current situation? Is it something that can keep you moving forward or does it keep one foot in the grave? I thought that was a good motivational point. In order to form our own Identity" in Christ, we need to quit focusing on people who will never show up in our lives again. That maybe hard to realize but we should not get stuck thinking about people who will never cross our pathway again. I' not speaking about people who have passed, I'm only talking about friendships and relationships. People we may have gone to school with, people who we may have been dating at one time, etc. WE must encourage ourselves to keep moving forward. Those people aren't coming back so let's quit watering dead plants and keep our eyes toward Jesus.

Ezekiel 37 (KJV) The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. ...

Ten Ways I Stay Motivated

1.  Start the day with prayer or meditation. 2. Brew a good cup of coffee. 3.  Go over my list of goals. 4.  Set new goals ones the old ones are accomplished. 5.  Listen to motivational podcasts or youtube videos. 6.  Read biographies of people who have survived cancer or some amazing trauma.  This helps to remind me that no problem is too big for God. 7.  I try to look in the mirror and say affirmations every morning.  Some of these affirmations are the same ones and some are different.  8. Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Fantastic Friday

1.Psalm 16:11 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy ; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. 2.Psalm 119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight . 3.Proverbs 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. 4. Psalm 18:36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. Psalm 119:5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Ah! It's here! The weekend? What have we done this week that would glorify God? What have we not done to shine our lights? What could we do more of next week to bless another person? Have you asked God to show you someone to give a Blessing to? Do you watch people or do we have our mind always on ourselves? It's important that we realize the difference between selfishness and being happy. Being angry does not help our situation. If you want to torment the Devil, we need to praise God for every situation. S...
