The Power of ONE

  The Power of One

One song can spark a moment
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest.
One bird can herald spring.

One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul,
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.

One vote can change nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.

One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.

One voice can speak with wisdom,
One life can make a difference,
You see, IT'S UP TO YOU!

I do not know who wrote this poem, but it is powerful!
I love this poem because it compares how much the first start is important.
I think it is very emotional and inspirational.
I love how the author starts out describing Mother Nature and the moves along to say that it is
up to us to speak one word.  See God spoke the world into existence with one Word and that is how it was formed.  The poem reminds us that we need to be the first one sometimes.  It reminds us to be leaders and try to encourage each other along life's way.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and hope you have an awesome week!

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Terrific Thursday

Titus 3 (KJV) 3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Sometimes I wonder if people even read my blog posts. Then other times I think, what does it matter? This is something God wants me to do so it should not matter. We shouldn't strive to please people. My husband and I went out to eat yesterday and I heard the song that goes something like this," I learned my lesson well. You can't please ever...

Wonderful Wednesday

Psalm 98 King James Version (KJV) 9 8  O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. 2  The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. 3  He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4  Make a joyful noise unto the Lord , all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5  Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6  With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord , the King. 7  Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 8  Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together 9  Before the Lord ; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the worl...
