Psalm 23 is a Picture of Peace

Psalm 23

  for Monday's poetry collection

  1.  The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.

2.He maketh me lie down in green pastures for His name's sake.  He leadeth me beside still waters.

 3. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

  4.  Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death I will fear no evil; for thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff the comfort me.

   5.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presences of mine enemies; thou anoinest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.

   6.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The sections highlighted help me get through the not so good times. This Scripture always paints a picture of peace. It reminds me that it will be worth it all one day, helps a person have hope.

However, God is not the author of confusion, He is our helper so we must keep our focus on Him and picture those cool, still waters in our minds every day that we live.

Jesus through much more so that He could make a way.  As I have said many times before it is so easy to blame God for our problems and situations.
This passage is one that was written to help us remember that God will be there for us because He did create us in His own image.  We need to remember that the battle is already won, it is just those every day burdens that we need to give to the Lord.

Terrific Tuesday

2 Peter 1King James Version (KJV) 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall n...

Thoughtful Thursday

If God Be For Us 31 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies; 34 who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us?[e] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from...
